Cancer breakthrough or nightmare?

This article didn't really give a certain opinion about how they feel on the topic, but i do think that this would cause a huge epidemic. Researchers found a new way to detect early signs of cancer! Twenty years ago there was also a test that could do this same thing and alot of men had gone and gotten tested for prostate cancer. This made many men get tested for a cancer that would have never have effected them and about one third of them got misdiagnosed. This is a test that i don't think should be recomended to anyone. We could easily not let everybody get tested and save some of the testing for people who are in the early stages of cancer. We are spending to much time trying to find the right now cure when we could be spending all that time finding the forever cure!!

Second nine weeks and you would think that school might get a little better since it's closer to getting over with....BUT NO!!! School sucks just as much as normal, classes are just as boring as before, and still can't wait for it to be over! Some teachers are even more moody then usual whichs is bull because then they take it out on the students and are just rude sometimes...plus the homework is lame. This whole blogging bit is alright, I mean way better then doing school work but still has rules and regulations that are just not fun at all.

The Internet-Persuasion

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if we didn't have the convenience to go straight to the Internet, type in anything we wanted, and get answers? What if you couldn't chat with friends and family, form relationships, possibly get a job, send assignments to your teachers and not have to worry about losing them, get information fast for a paper or research assignment, or even just get online and do anything? The Internet can help with information, possible relationships, and even school sometimes.
Information is the main reason the Internet was invented. It helps you to get answers to any possible question you might have. Also, it is a great resource for writing research papers, getting information on a job you might want to apply to and is just very useful.  The Internet is a very quick way to find out facts about topics you wouldn’t normally know much about. You can go to many different search engines, type in anything you want, and get information about it; even some things that could be personal.  The World Wide Web offers information and data from all over the world. Because so much information is available, and because that information can appear to be fairly “anonymous”, it is necessary to develop skills to evaluate what you find (“Evaluating Information found on the Internet”).
The Internet has many different ways for you to possibly form a relationship or search for a spot to go on vacation. You could go to a dating website that allows you to give your information and pick someone that has exactly what you want and form a relationship. Some people go to chat rooms and find people that they are compatible with and start a relationship that way.  The Internet, although, is not always used for horrible things! It provides an opportunity to those shy or socially isolated men and women who cannot meet their partners in real life (“Internet Relationships – Blessing or Curse?”).
Schools allow students to send their homework to the teachers through the Internet and less of a chance of getting lost. This has helped out a lot of teens and young adults just to pass a class because maybe they were one who turned assignments in late because they forgot about them or couldn’t ever find them.  For the generation of current students, those who have recently graduated, and those soon to enter, all can say their four years of college life would not be the same without satellite Internet. The Internet is as integrated in the lives of university students as are the dorm rooms they live their freshman year, the football games they attend every Saturday, and exams they cram for during the week. Most would agree life would be impossible without it (“College Students Rely on Satellite Internet”).
Anyone can put fourth their own information on a subject and you could be able to read it; but sometimes that makes the information not so reliable. Not all information given on the Internet is always legitimate. Some people use the Internet to put out false information to make you think their way or to be funny. Wikipedia is a great website that lets all of these things happen. They allow anyone to put anything they want on there. This may sound harmless and very easy but sometimes you’re not so lucky and end up with talking to someone who is not who they say they are. You could talk to a pedophile and give him information that could help him find you; you could talk to a serial killer, a stalker, or even just some sick freak that has fun messing with people. The Internet allows you to send anything you want to anybody, like assignments from students to teachers, but could also lead to terrible misuse of this creation by people who disobey the restrictions. Porn websites and “Adult Fun” sponsors send out spam mail to people through the Internet. It could give you viruses and even catch the eye of one of your children which you did not intend them to see. Hackers misuse the Internet for themselves. They try and steal from people to better themselves and even make themselves wealthier.
The Internet is a great way to find anything you need as long as you do it in a smart way. If you allow you children to be on the Internet then you should definitely monitor them and give them guidelines to which websites they can be on. Don’t take the Internet away from them though because the Internet is a very good tool to use! The Internet can give you great information, help you out with possible relationships, and even be a sidekick to you while your in school.

Day 1

Today is the first day that i have started to use my blog. The reason for the blog is to start a persuasive discussion about a certain topic. I haven't decided quit yet what to try and persuade. Some options could be something about basketball, abortions, political matters, stem cell research, teens and destructive decisions, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, rehab, celebs and their influence on youth, just anything that really comes to mind is what i will try and persuade daily. The project so far is not to bad, for not being a "blogger". It will, I'm sure, get harder as we go along.
